Mayor Ron Meer

I have a legacy of getting things accomplished when no one else could because I believe in the process of working across party lines. If the residents and the voters want someone that will get results and have a significant impact on outcomes, then I am that person. It is imperative to work across party lines legislatively to ensure that Indiana’s 4th district is successfully represented.

Working Across Party Lines For Northwest Indiana Progress

(NICTD Board Appointee 2019)

For several years, I have played an integral role in making the South Shore commuter rail double track project a reality in our region. My working relationship with the last two Indiana governors was a successful one. In 2019 Governor Eric Holcomb appointed me to the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District board of trustees.

I have a strong record of protecting the environment and initiating environmental clean-up projects throughout the region. I believe that protecting Lake Michigan and its tributaries is crucial to the future of Northwest Indiana.

Ron Meer

Through a series of collaborations, I worked to forge strong partnerships to spearhead over a billion dollars in public and private economic development and investment. The progress my administration fulfilled from 2012 to 2020 still benefits Northwest Indiana today.
